Happy Wednesday on the final day of June! Today’s project is an Artistically Inked Hello card, with a background piece of coloured vellum. Just a quick reminder before we get to the card details, that today’s the LAST day to order retiring items from the January-June Mini Catalogue! Tomorrow is the beginning of Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Paper Sale. For demonstrators, it’s also the beginning of the pre-order period where we can order *new* product from the upcoming Fall-Winter Mini Catalogue, and summer Sale-a-Bration!
Created by Mai Lefler, this card also has an coloured vellum background, created in a similar way to yesterday’s card. The big difference is that this one has many colours, where yesterday’s only had one. Mai pulled out a few different colours of Stampin’ Blends, and scribbled them across her sheet of vellum before adding the alcohol. The result is a more mottled look, but it looks amazing paired with the die cuts.
The cute hello stamp is included in the Artistically Inked stamp set. Mai stamped it in black, and die cut with the smallest rectangle in the Stitched So Sweetly die set. Everyone keeps highlighting the images from this set, but there are four well chosen sentiments as well. I often find that I like some of the phrases found in combined stamp/phrase sets, but not all. These are well proportioned, in current fonts, and good for many cards – I’ll use them all.
One of the centrepiece dies of the Artistic die set is the large flower/leaf image. Mai has cut it from Basic White cardstock, layering it overtop of the vellum. The entire layer was then attached to the scalloped rectangle found in the Scalloped Contours die set. This rectangle is large enough to fit on a card front, and many elements can be laid overtop.
Finally, the card base itself is Soft Succulent cardstock, paired with the pretty Pale Papaya 3/8″ Open Weave Ribbon. Our new In Colors this year are so pretty. I have been using the lighter shades, but look forward to using the Evening Evergreen later in the year during the fall and holiday seasons.

Thanks for stopping by today to give some love to Mai’s lovely Artistically Inked hello card. It’s Canada Day tomorrow, and I do have something lined up for both the blog and Facebook. The only hint that I’ll share for tomorrow night’s Facebook Live stamping at 7:30pm is that it is an easel card, created by me. We’re almost through my themed weeks, based on new suites and cards that I have received in swaps. Next week we’re stamping with the Perfect Plants Bundle, and I’m hoping to have the shadowbox sampler for this suite ready to go. In the meantime, please email me if you have questions or need help with something and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Until tomorrow, Happy Stamping!
