Good morning stampers! I hope that you had a restful long weekend. I’m updating my website today, because April has arrived, and it’s a new month! Before I do this though, I want to share an Explosive All Things Thanks Card, which has a really lively background to it.
This card was created in February, and was one of the projects in my Brusho class. It was so easy to make – all you need is watercolour paper, water, Brusho Crystal Colour, and a bit of patience while the background dries. Using a spritzer, wet the watercolour paper all over and then shake your Brusho on top. As soon as it hits the water it will start to bloom. I have used both the Brilliant Red and Yellow on this card. The patience is needed because you need to wait until it’s fully dry before you can work with it. However, it’s not tough to wait because the colour continues to move and blend as the drying process takes place.
“All Things Thanks” has some great thank you sentiments that work with many styles of cards and specific occasions. Each is paired up with a second sentiment in the same font that work well inside a card (or on the front!) This ‘thank you’ is large, and works really well as a focal point on this card. The background is so brilliant that you don’t want to cover all of it up!
I am heading to OnStage, a demonstrator-only event, this weekend and will be one of the first to get a 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue. SO exciting! With that, comes the knowledge of what will be carrying over to the new catalogue, and what will be retiring. (Cross your fingers that Fabulous Flamingo is NOT on that list!!)
