Adult Beverage Gift Boxes with Video

Happy Monday! Last Thursday, Facebook was being glitchy, and the video for these fabulous Adult Beverage Gift Boxes really didn’t work well. To the point where I cut it off, and recorded a video instead. Funny story… when I was filming, it too shut off just before I was finished, so I quickly recorded the last part, and spliced them together. Was it a full moon??

Anyhow, these darling boxes were originally created and posted by American Demonstrator Deseree Krumm. As soon as I saw them, I knew that I HAD to make them. The red box is very, very similar to hers. The second one however is different because the bottle is significantly larger than the one she has in her box. The dimensions for each are below the photos, and you can see how they are put together in the video.

A quick word about the sizes of the bottles of booze in my boxes… they’re quite small, meant for one drink. You can adjust the box size based on what you want to add inside. The red gift box works perfectly for most 50ml bottles. The wine though is 200ml, and the bottle itself is 7″ tall. When searching through the LCBO, I did see 200ml bottles of Bailey’s as well (I have a couple of 50ml bottles as well). The size of the bottle ultimately determines the size of the box.

Real Red Gift Box:

  • Base: 8-1/2″ x 9-1/2″ – score all sides at 2-1/4″
  • Lid: 7-1/16″ x 8-1/16″ – score all sides at 1-1/2″
  • Centre piece for inside: 5″ x 8-1/2″ – score across the long side at 2-1/4″, 4-1/2″ & 6-3/4″

Isn’t it cute? For the record, I haven’t tried the strawberry cream liquor in this box… but I will. I’m one of those rare people who isn’t a fan of Bailey’s, even though there’s a *bit* in my fridge. Let’s move on to the second adult beverage gift box, with the Peller Estates Chardonnay. You will need 12″x12″ cardstock to make this box.

Pear Pizzazz Gift Box:

  • Base: 11-3/4″ x 9″ – score all sides at 2-1/4″
  • Lid: 10-9/16″ x 7-9/16″ – score all sides at 1-1/2″
  • Centre piece for inside: 7-1/4″ x 9″ – score across the long side at 2-1/2″, 4-3/4″ & 7″

The video below describes how to assemble the adult beverage gift boxes. Once complete, decorate based on your whims. I have included chocolate in my boxes, however you can include anything that fits with the alcohol in the box. Deseree has a bag of nuts combined with a bottle of cinnamon whiskey in one of her samples. Great for that neighbour who blows out your driveway after a snowstorm.
