Good morning! It’s Municipal Election day in Ontario, so get out and vote! Today’s card has nothing to do with elections, but is one of my Open House cards from September. I thought that I had posted this card, but found it on the piano with the rest of those that haven’t yet made it to the blog. This Winter Woods card has a touch of vellum and silver, which elevates it from extremely simple, to easy with extra oomph. Scroll down to see the card. This card has been CASE’d from one originally created by Tamie Ackerson. If you only stamped the trees and sentiment, you would have a simple card that is elegant and easy to mass produce. Adding the vellum tree and mini sequin trim just takes it up to the next level.
*Tip* Add a layer of parchment paper between the die and the vellum. Your tree will easily slide out once it has been cut by the Big Shot. You’ll also have an extra tree that you can use on another project!
Night of Navy, Smoky Slate and Whisper White is the colour combination on this card, and you only need Night of Navy ink. The sentiment fits perfectly in the punch, so there’s no fiddling. This is an ideal card for someone who celebrates the holidays, but not necessarily Christmas itself.
