Good morning stampers! Hard to believe we have this much snow and ice in mid-April, but it looks like the sun is trying to peek through the clouds this morning. I know the Weather Network said we were in for a volatile spring, but this is bordering on ridiculous! I’ll take the dog out for a trot in a bit, but wanted to share a card before venturing out. Today’s project uses two retiring stamp sets, Weather Together & Moon Baby. Both are very cute, and will disappear on May 31st.
What a great card for a baby shower! It uses a basic, yet classic layout that can be endlessly repeated with any stamp that fits the squares. Whenever I’m stuck for a design, I tend to go back to one of my 3 or 4 most favourite designs (of which this is one). At the least I end up with a card out of it that is useful, and pleasing to the eye. However, sometimes something else pops into my brain that is completely different, and I end up with a happy accident of a design.
*Note* I mentioned above that the stamp sets are retiring, but so is the Pink Pirouette cardstock and coordinating Stampin’ Write Marker. I will miss this pink, but I’m excited for the new Petal Pink cardstock that will hit my front porch tomorrow. I really need to hug the UPS driver when it does.
