Today’s card features the look of watercoloured Colorful Seasons snowflakes, and has been hanging around my house since late May. I’ve been holding onto it because I didn’t want to start posting Christmas cards in the middle of the summer, but we’re now getting close to the Holiday catalogue release date, so I think it’s time to post this one.
I was inspired by Cathy Caines, who created a similar card using the Memories and More Color Theory Card Pack, but instead of using the pre-made background, I decided to have a little fun.
The snowflakes have been embossed onto watercolour paper using white embossing powder, and the ink was then dropped onto the background. Once dry, this is the end result. I made 10 of these for a card swap, and it’s safe to say that none of them were the same because the ink bled differently on each background. The result is some very pretty watercoloured Colorful Seasons snowflakes.
