Good afternoon stampers! Summer vacation is in full swing, which means my children continually hijack my best laid plans. I have a lot of web based on items on today’s todo list, most of which are easier to do on my Mac than on my iPad. My daughter has been harassing me for 2 weeks to go raspberry picking. It’s humid outside, but we went this morning and got a whole lot of berries. When we returned, the 15yr old told me that he is live-streaming some game-building thing at 2pm. And… there goes my day. Fortunately, there is plenty to do that doesn’t require the internet, and I’ll get to some of that after I finish this post. Today’s project is a cute Varied Vases pizza box, filled with cards.
Our Mini Pizza Boxes (page 193) are the perfect size for 3″x3″ cards and envelopes, and a finished box with card is a great hostess gift. These cards are too small to mail, so what can you do with them?
- Tuck them into a birthday gift bag
- Attach to a bottle of wine with string or a piece of tape
- Add to a basket of fresh baked goods or fruit
- Pin to a bouquet of flowers for a friend
The colour combination for this project has been carried across the box and all of the cards. Die cut all circles first, and then stamp the vases and flowers. Change up the colours for each, so you have good variety. All of the images seen here (with the exception of the ‘thank you’) are in the Varied Vases stamp set. You *could* stamp them first and cut them after, but if you are making these on an assembly line, because you want to have some on hand for gifts, it’s easier to cut the circles first and then stamp. Varied Vases is a photopolymer set, so you can see where you are stamping.
Our Wood Textures Designer Series Paper adds a quiet background on the cards. As a result, the inked images aren’t overpowered by colour behind them. It’s a great stack, and part of the Buy 3, Get 1 Free on Select DSP sale in the month of July!
Order your Mini Pizza Boxes and stamps online through my Online Store. Receive 10 Project Helper Guides at month’s end if your order is over $50 (before ship/tax) – just add the July Host Code (2C9M3FSW). If it’s +$200, choose the Stampin’ Rewards instead, and still receive the Guides.
