Remember I said last week that today’s card would be the stepped up, more labour-intensive version of the one posted on Wednesday? Here it is! It features the Touches of Texture stamp set, with a sentiment from the Sunshine Sayings set enclosed by the frame found in Number of Years.
There are six (6!) colours on this card, but they work very well together. The only real mistake is that my clear mount stamp didn’t stick tremendously well to the block the first time I tried to stamp the flowers, and the stamp fell off the block onto the paper. Rather than scream, yell, and scrap the tag, I opted to add 2-way glue to the back of the stamp, and try to match up the image. I came close, but didn’t hit it dead on. I decided to colour in the image and I think that it’s somewhat shadowed, salvaging the tag.
The colours used are: Tangerine Tangelo, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, and Early Espresso.
The Gallery for more complex colour combinations is now open! If you’re one of those stampers struggling to find a colour combination, stop by for some inspiration. It’s a great resource – even for me!
