Good afternoon stampers! I have a pretty card this afternoon featuring the Touches of Texture and Birthday Blossoms stamp sets. Many apologies for posting this late in the day, but it’s been a busy day so far. I spent the morning mowing down the dandelion field that is my lawn, while keeping the dog from eating the baby robins in my backyard. Scroll down for photos!
Calypso Coral is the main colour on this photo, which makes for a bright and cheery card. Margaret Stares, the demonstrator that created this card, coloured the images with Stampin’ Blends. She also coloured the white metallic-edge ribbon with a marker, so that she would have ribbon that matches her card. Genius! A full list of the products can be found at the end of this post.

Now, about those robins… They have made their nest in a pine tree that is in the backyard. Unfortunately, it’s only 4 feet off the ground. This isn’t the first time that they have done this, but the last time their nest was there, the dog was only a year old and went after it. Needless to say, it didn’t end well. I have been discouraging them from building there ever since, but apparently I didn’t make it this year.
There are 4 babies in the nest, and I believe they hatched only a couple of days ago. Check out the little cheepers. I thought there were only three, but when I peered into the next after mowing the dandelions, I saw four little heads.
Ginny wanted to hang out in the backyard this morning. I was concerned that mommy robin would dive-bomb the dog (or me) the way she knocked a squirrel off of the fence on the weekend. Fortunately, that didn’t happen. I didn’t even hear a lot of cheeping while I was out there! The dog even acted as their protector – for now.
Thanks for stopping by to see today’s card with the Touches of Texture and Birthday Blossoms card. It’s time to get back at it! As always, if you have questions, drop me a quick E-mail, or text (289-928-5713). Until later, Happy Stamping!
