Hi Happy Stampers! It’s Throwback Thursday, and today’s card is one that I have had in my box for a long time at this point. I have had a hard time parting with it, because I love the image of the bird in its nest. For the Birds was a pretty versatile set because the birds were very cute, and the sentiments were written in a timeless font. If you didn’t want them on your project, you could cut them off of the stamp, or just ink up the image if you wanted to use something different.
See? Isn’t he cute? The background was inked up using a technique that hasn’t been in vogue for a few years. I’m also not sure how it would look now because this was done with one of the old-style linen ink pads, not the current foam pads. We still carry the doilies in the catalogue; they work well with many of our floral stamps.
It’s *still* March Break, and someone is chasing me to play a boardgame. The same someone who I took to the travel clinic this morning. Which is different from the someone that came with me to the post office while walking the dog. Which is different yet again from the other someone who took off in my car with a friend to buy another xBox controller, and supplies for the dinner that he and his friend are cooking. Did I mention that my husband came back from a business trip an hour ago and is currently hiding in the basement on a conference call with basketball on mute? (I’m not actually complaining about any of this, especially the cooking part. It’s just hard to get anything done when the house is full of people.) So, before I leave… don’t forget about any of the items below! Happy Stamping!
