Pigs! They are so very adorable, especially when one is holding a flower, with a huge smile on its face. This Little Piggy has proven to be so popular that they were on backorder in early June! Stampers everywhere are in love with the pigs, and it’s no wonder because they are really cute.
I created this card not long after OnStage in April. It has sat on a shelf while I was busy creating other cards for classes and card swaps, but she needs to see the light. The pig was stamped on watercolour paper, and then coloured using ink pulled from the lids of my ink pads and an Aqua Painter. As an aside, I used to be incredibly scared to colour stamped images using an Aqua Painter, but I have wholeheartedly embraced colouring, because it’s so easy and you can add layers of colour to create depth on your image.
Two other items of note on this card: The Wood Textures DSP, and the 1/4″ Copper Trim. These are new to this year’s Annual Catalogue, and I love them both. The designs on the paper are phenomenal, and perfect for so many projects. The trim adds a bit of muted sparkle, which pairs well with the paper. I have another use for it stuck in my head, but I haven’t yet tried it on a project. It’s cool though, so I have to use it soon.
