Happy Tuesday! I have a generic Peaceful Deer card idea for you today. The poor card has been hanging around my tables since… November, and needs to be shared. Why do I consider it to be a generic card? Because I haven’t added any sentiment to it – on the outside or inside – so that I can personalize it when needed.
This card is quite easy and quick to make, because it is monochromatic, and only uses Soft Succulent and white as its colours. The deer stamp is found in the Peaceful Deer stamp set, which you’ll remember from our July-Dec Mini Catalogue. Although you can’t find the set in any of our printed catalogues, it has not been retired, and is still available online.
Our Deer Builder Punch is also available in the online store. This punch works with the deer in the Peaceful Deer stamp set, but it can also be used with the new Friends of the Forest stamp set.
The Picture This dies continue to be one of my goto die sets for cards, because you can layer just about anything behind the die cuts. The Designer Series Paper behind this layer is from the Tidings of Christmas pack, available in the Annual Catalogue. Yes, there is holly in the image, but you don’t really notice it unless you’re looking at it carefully. And it is pretty monochromatic paper that works with the card.
A bit of the Soft Succulent Open Weave ribbon behind the deer, and five of the Soft Succulent 2021-2023 In Color Jewels finish off the card nicely.

Thanks for stopping by today! I think you’ll agree that this Peaceful Deer card is easy on the eyes, and easy to create. I’ll post details tomorrow about the new All Together Collection that dropped today. My week has shifted slightly because I was SO tired yesterday after the weekend, that ordering pizza and taking the dog for a 20 minute walk were wins. I was definitely feeling my age after working 20 hours in 3 days, with an overnight trip to Ottawa mixed in (as well as a *few* unmasked protesters). I’m feeling much more awake today, which is a good thing because I need to clean up the edges of my sidewalks and driveway before the next round of snow begins falling tonight! Enjoy your day, email if you have questions, and Happy Stamping!
