Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home Good Luck Card

Happy Monday! Today’s project is a pretty Honeybee Home good luck card, full of Fresh Freesia elements. It’s a delicate card, that is gorgeous to look at on a table. Let’s have a closer look.

The good news is that very little on this card is retiring. The Ornate Floral 3D Embossing folder is on the current Last Chance list, but that’s it. The Heart & Home Designer Series Paper will also retire, but not until the end of June, so you have lots of time to add this to your patterned paper collection.

Fresh Freesia is the main colour on this card, and the Best of Luck sentiment is in the Honeybee Home stamp set. We don’t often see sentiments for good luck cards, and this one is very pretty.

The flowers were stamped in Basic Gray, and gently coloured with Stampin’ Blends. You need a lighter touch when you’re not using the Memento Black ink, because the coloured ink has a tendency to blur and run. Both were die cut with dies from the Honeybee Blooms die set, along with the additional greenery behind the flowers. If you look carefully at the grass behind the blooms, you can see that the set on the right is darker, because I added some colour with the Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.

One really good feature of the Heart & Home DSP is that there are wood grain patterns on the back side of each floral piece. Chopping this paper is easy with such versatility in the patterns.

How did I cut the circle on the front so that you can see the ‘stitching? By using the Picture This die with the circles. It’s an easy way to add an extra touch to your projects.
