Happy Monday! Today’s project is a Hand Penned Petals card that I recently received in a Demonstrator Card Swap. A lot of love (and work!) went into the making of this card. Let’s have a look.
Maria Luchetta created this very pretty card, using a bit of an unorthodox colour combination. I wouldn’t have tried putting Flirty Flamingo, Soft Succulent and Polished Pink together, but it works!
First off, I didn’t buy the Hand-Penned Suite when it was released to Demonstrators as part of our pre-order. In case you didn’t know, Demonstrators have the option to buy certain items a month before a catalogue goes live, to help us prepare samples to show you when it does.
Anyhow, I have a number of cards that I can show off to you, and decided to take a bit of a break from stamping, to concentrate on future projects. I also have a few things that are happening at home, needing to be addressed. The Hand-Penned Petals Bundle has the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set, and the Penned Flowers Dies.
Maria’s card has 8 sets of the stamped flower & leaves that you can see in the bottom right corner of the stamp set. That’s a lot of stamping and die cutting for 15 cards!! Hence the reason that I feel she put a lot of love into her swap cards.
The scalloped rectangle was die cut from a die in the Scalloped Contours die set, and Stitched Rectangles were used to cut out the centre as well as the sentiment.
Finally, a piece of the pretty Polished Pink 3/8″ Open Weave Ribbon was tied in a bow and attached with a Glue Dot. Overall, a very pretty card.
