Good Morning Stampers! The weather’s a changing (again!), and I’m happy for this because I have a bunch of things to do indoors today. I also have a kitty helper that is trying to help me. We’re cat sitting for my sister-in-law, and while Gizmo is the most awesome cat ever, he’s also really friendly and has to get into EVERYTHING! Fortunately he’s not allowed in the basement, so he can’t “help” me in the stamp room. I need to pull out stamps today to create a card sample or two, and I don’t need Cherry Cobbler ink on his tail. If I were to recreate this Elegant yet Simple Merry Mistletoe card, I know that’s a distinct possibility.
This morning’s card was inspired by one originally created by Liz Bailey. She used the wonderful Merry Music Specialty DSP along with the stamps to create a really easy Christmas card.
It wouldn’t take a lot of time to mass produce this design, especially if you change up the silver embossing for a straight-up inked image. Looking at the photo, I realized that I didn’t stick down the length of the ribbon, but rather just the ends behind the layer. In future, I would stick the whole thing down so that it doesn’t shift on the card.
