Good afternoon stampers! After a busy Victoria Day weekend, I am only now finding the time to show off today’s card. A friend’s mom was recently in the hospital, and I’m pleased that I’m able to send lots of love with a Hanging Garden card. It’s a pretty card that works as a get well, friendship, or sympathy card, simply by switching up the colours.
Hanging Garden is available now in the Occasions catalogue, and will be carried over into the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue. The basket and flowers were coloured with Stampin’ Blends (which will be returning in mid-June), but could easily be done with Stampin’ Write Markers. In fact the blue flowers were coloured with the Tempting Turquoise marker! The fine tip on the one end of the marker make it SO easy to quickly colour the flowers and leaves in the basket. The detail on the basket itself allows you to use the same markers for colouring. Normally I don’t like colouring larger images with the Stampin’ Write markers because you see the lines, but they are perfect for this stamp set.
One of the main colours on this card is Tempting Turquoise, which is retiring in 9 days. The Classic Stampin’ Pad, ink refill and cardstock are still available for purchase. The Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper, which is the striped background on this card, is also disappearing.
Do you need to stock up on any items? This week’s workshop order will be going in on Thursday evening. If you need to stock up on one or two items, send a quick e-mail by 9pm on Thursday, May 24th and I’ll add them on. All available retiring items can be found HERE.
Have you RSVP’d for next week’s Open House? It’s going to be a fantastic event! Pick up your 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue package, see samples, make an easy card, and possibly win a prize!
