Good morning stampers! Today’s Christmas card uses stamps from the Rustic Retreat set, with a lovely cabin image. It was one of our Merry & Bright event cards, and is a wonderful card.
This week I’m showing a bit of love for those holiday stamps that appear in the Annual Catalogue. We often get so caught up in what’s the Holiday catalogue that we forget about items that we may already own. Having said that, Rustic Retreat isn’t a pure Christmas stamp set.
There are fantastic masculine images in this set, and it’s easy to reach for this birthday sentiment. It works well on my different projects.
As I mentioned above, this card was one of the projects that our Merry & Bright stampers made. There is colouring on the card, however it isn’t as difficult as it may seem. The markers that we set on the table are Stampin’ Blends, but there is no blending on this card – just pure colouring. It doesn’t have to be perfect either because of the rustic nature of the card.
Background and sentiment stamping is done with Old Olive ink, which matches the cardstock. Remember… we’re all about coordination! You do need to use black Memento ink for house itself because we’re using Blends.
Colleen added three of the pretty Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots and a bit of Whisper White Baker’s Twine to finish it off. Lovely!
The full supply list for this card is below. Order any stamping supplies that you need for your projects by clicking on the links. You can also go directly to my Online Store. Tomorrow I will post another card made with a stamp set from the Annual Catalogue. It is a *new* stamp set, but one that will be available throughout the spring. If you love it, but your budget is a bit stretched right now, consider holding off on purchasing it until Sale-a-Bration (which starts on January 3rd).
In the meantime, thanks for stopping by this morning. Today’s Rustic Retreat Christmas Cabin card is a favourite from this season. I’m looking forward to stamping more cards with this stamp set in the new year. Until tomorrow, happy stamping 🙂
