Have you been playing with your Stamparatus? You can do some marvellous things with it. We recently did some repeat stamping with Birthday Backgrounds in a class, with some great results.
When my stampers first saw the card, they were confused as to what we were stamping, because they thought the strip along the left side was Designer Series Paper. But, it’s not! It was stamped with the Stamparatus. How did we do this?
To stamp the lines on the left side of the card, start with the line stamp in the Birthday Backgrounds stamp set. It is the perfect size for repeat stamping – in either direction. Once the stamp is on the Stamparatus horizontally, simply move the plate down two notches, re-ink, and stamp again. If you have the stamp on the block vertically, it’s the same step – move the plate down two notches, re-ink and stamp again. The lines match up perfectly! The Stampin’ Up! artists must have had the Stamparatus in mind when designing this stamp.
You’ll notice on the card that there is two colours of ink, and that the second colour is offset from the first. Before inking your stamp with the second colour, move the paper slightly down and to the right (about 1/8″). Then continue with your repeat stamping.
Hmmm. I really need to do some type of video for this. I’m going to set the card aside and see if I can do a Facebook Live Demonstration in a day or two.
The sentiment comes from the Another Wonderful Year stamp set, and has been coloured with the Light Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blend Marker. Each of the lines was outlined with a Mint Macaron Stampin’ Write Marker. It’s a fun card to create, with a great colour combination. You can find the entire supply list below.
