Rainbow of Happiness Card with Paper Strips

Happy Monday! It’s the last day of Sale-a-bration, and I have one last Rainbow of Happiness card, complete with strips of Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper.

This card is quite easy to make, and the design is one that you can make over and over with different Designer Series Paper and cardstock. Colours for this card were pulled directly from the patterns on the paper, so there’s little thinking about what colour combinations can work.

Each strip of the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP is 3″ x 3-3/4″, and they were glued to a piece of Pool Party cardstock. Misty Moonlight forms the base, and the circle is Mango Melody. This Designer Series Paper is only available until TONIGHT, so get that last order in!!

To change things up a bit, the sentiment, pulled from the Rainbow of Happiness stamp set, was stamped and embossed with white embossing powder. It was then cut with the Picture This circle die, because I like the look of a bit of stitching around the edge of the circle. You don’t *have* to use them just to create large backgrounds / focal points on your cards. Use them to die cut your phrases and sentiments for a different look.

Adding a bit of stamping to the corners on the front of the card, as well as on the inside corner, gives it a bit of an extra oomph. Add some to the envelope as well for a cohesive look.

Did you notice the Fan Baker’s Twine on page 69 of the Jan-June Mini Catalogue? This is where you’ll find the twine that has been wrapped around the main panel of the card. It’s easily missed, but is good addition to your ribbon collection.
