Need a quick container for a cookie exchange or Secret Santa exchange? Create this Quick and Easy Santa Basket with cardstock and strong adhesive, and you’ll have something fun to give during the holiday season.
This basket is really easy to make, because there are directions published online on Splitcoaststampers! If you have never looked through their tutorial library, you should take a few minutes on a snowy day to do so. There are some fantastic ideas in there, and you will definitely come away with ideas for your next project.

One thing that I’ll mention is that the project does use 2 full sheets of Real Red cardstock, and that the basket is a good size when finished. The dimensions of the base are 5-1/2″ x 4″, and the sides are 3-3/4″ tall. It would make a fun candy dish – you can fit a lot of candy into one of these!!!
You will need a scoring tool to make this project. Our Simply Scored tool makes it really easy to score the paper for the base of this project. You’re also going to need strong adhesive. SNAIL will not be adequate for this project, because it isn’t strong enough to keep the bag from falling apart. Our Tear & Tape Adhesive (or something similar) is a must-have for any type of 3-D project. It’s strong enough to hold edges together, and much easier to use than redline adhesive.
Today’s supply list is short, and can be found below. Don’t forget that our Year-End Closeout is going on now. You can pick up some new stamping supplies at a good price, and when these items are gone, they’re GONE! The BEST way to order your products is through my Online Store.
Be sure to add the December Host Code (SSCRDPQA) to your Online Order, and receive a Tutorial Bundle with 10 exclusive projects at the end of the month. If your order is $200+, choose the Stampin’ Rewards and receive the PDF as well as the rewards. See my Online Host Reward program HERE.
Thanks for stopping by today to see the Quick and Easy Santa Basket. It’s been an incredibly busy couple of weeks, and I’m heading to a Christmas concert and skating tonight. The dog was most confused that I didn’t immediately leave the house this morning to catch a bus. I’m going to try really hard tonight to set up tomorrow’s blog post, but if I don’t succeed, I’ll add a post later in the day tomorrow. If you have questions about anything, send me a quick e-mail, and I’ll answer as soon as I can.
