Good morning stampers! I hope that you have grand stamping plans this weekend, and that today’s card will give you a bit of inspiration. It’s a pretty Stitched All Around Thank You card created with the Stitched All Around Bundle and our Watercolour Pencils.
This card takes a little more time to create, but I think it’s worth the effort. The base is 4-1/4″ square, so it will fit into one of our Medium Envelopes. Good for mailing!
I stamped the thank you image onto the cardstock using Staz-On ink, because I knew that I was going to colour the rings with my pencils. Generally, you cannot use Watercolour Pencils and Aquapainters with Whisper White paper. However, I have found that if you have a really small area, and your Aquapainter is almost dry, you can swirl it around to blend the colour as I have done on the circles.
Three colours of pencils were scribbled onto a piece of Watercolour Paper, and then blended with an Aquapainter. Once dry, I cut it using the largest of the Stitched Shapes squares.
The Stitched Shapes Framelits has some fancy dies, and one of these was used as the piece behind the sentiment. I don’t mind the look when it’s plain, but since I’m a stitcher, I took a large-eyed needle, added four pieces of metallic thread, and ran the thread around the openings. You can just see a bit of glimmer in the photo above.
