Good morning! Today’s Petal Palette Anniversary Card was stamped with the Petal Palette and Beautiful Bouquet stamp sets. It’s a very pretty card, and the design is one that is suitable for many occasions. Simply switch up the sentiment, and you’re good to go.
The card was inspired by one created by Kristin Hayes. I have switched up a few elements, based on what is in my stamping stockpile, but am pleased with the results. My 20th anniversary is in early November, and I’ll save this card until then. Unless I make something that is a tad more “manly” for my husband. He’s NOT into glitter at all.
For pretty sentiments, have a look at the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.. There are flowers and phrases galore, and the sentiments themselves are in a gorgeous font. Even better… there are sentiments for the outside and inside of the card!
We made this project last week at my Stampin’ Blends class, and the ladies discovered that it’s very easy to colour these flowers with their Stampin’ Blends. Three colours were used on this card – Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Petal Pink, and even in the photos it’s easy to see the shading. I’m not even close to being a super-amazing artist when it comes to colouring, but the Blends make it SO easy to add depth to your stamping.
A Big Shot is a must to make this card, because you will need to emboss the Whisper White cardstock with the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder. As well, the stitched elements can be cut with the Stitched Labels Framelits, and the stamped Petal Palette flowers with the Petals and More Thinlits. It seems like a lot of cutting, but there are only four pieces and they can be completed very quickly.
