Recently my aunt and uncle celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary. I was in the process of creating the simpler cards using the colours from my colour blending experiments, and decided to send this one to them. Butterflies are perfect for anniversaries, and I still love those in our Papillon Potpourri stamp set.
Anniversary sentiments are surprisingly difficult to find in our stamp sets. The one on this card came from an older hostess set that I haven’t yet parted with (more on that in a minute). As I was working with four colours, I decided to use this timeless layout where you can quickly and easily add four images to a card. The colours are Wisteria Wonder, Sweet Sugarplum, Elegant Eggplant, and Perfect Plum. Basic Black was chosen for the sentiment, with accent rhinestones added to each butterfly and the sides of the sentiment.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 17th, as we’re having a Gently Used Stamp Sale! I’m still purging my craft room, and the pile of those items I’m selling keeps getting higher, so there should be lots to look through. I’ll update the site as we get closer to the date. In the meantime, Happy Stamping!
