I’m pleased to announce this morning that our Sale-a-Bration Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack is back in stock!
It was disappointing when the ribbon sold out so quickly in January because it coordinates perfectly with the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper in the Occasions Catalogue. Today’s card has pieces of the Highland Heather ribbon and paper on it, and the colour scheme just makes you think of warm weather and picnics.
This card was CASEd from one created by Eimear Carvill. I tend to CASE cards where I love the layout, and this one is no exception. The colour scheme is simple. Purple and white, with a smidge of Gray Granite and So Saffron for the cupcake. Cutting the layer of icing was easy, but if you don’t like fussy cutting, you can now cut the icing quickly and easily with the Call Me Cupcake Thinlits!
It is easy to work with the Organdy Ribbon because it is very pliable, and easy to adhere to your projects. You may find that you need a bit more adhesive because the ribbon is quite sheer in the centre.
*Tip* It is best to cut your ends on a angle to help prevent fraying. If you’re able to do this with the ribbon on the card, it helps because you’re not handling it more than you have to.
Isn’t this project adorable? There are few elements on the card, so it’s not recommended for a beginner, but it was relatively easy to make. You just need a bit of time.
