Mystery Stamping Card Projects

Happy Tuesday, part 2! Last night, I hosted my very first live Mystery Stamping night on Facebook. These are the Mystery Stamping card projects that I showed to my stampers. One was made ahead of time, while the other came together during the live video. Let’s have a look!

Before last night’s event, I posted the Mystery Stamping guidelines for this week. I’ll be hosting this type of live video every two weeks, but it won’t be the same every session! I’m working with Amy Cook, a fellow Demonstrator who is on the other side of the city. Our goal is to help you broaden your creativity, posting your finished card projects onto our pages so that everyone can see your work. We both have wonderfully supportive stampers, who offer help and encouragement to everyone who posts their cards. Here are this week’s guidelines:

My first card is this pretty Beauty of the Earth project. Amy came up with this week’s guidelines, and didn’t say whether the card orientation should be horizontal or vertical. So, this card is vertical. It was easy to make because the piece of Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper has this great paper that I just needed to chop up and glue down.

The colours of cardstock, Misty Moonlight & Merry Merlot, come directly from the colours of the DSP. Merry Merlot was used for the sentiment on the front. I die cut the long stitched rectangle from the Meadow dies, cutting off the loops on the sides. Wrapping some Misty Moonlight baker’s twine (in the Flowers For Every Season ribbon pack) was easy, and I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the layer when done.

Finally, I punched the sentiment with the Label Me Fancy punch, but found that it was a bit large for the ‘thank you’. So, I cut the edges off with scissors.

The second Mystery card is the one that I made live last night. I cut the paper and cardstock ahead of time, and stamped/die cut a bunch of Plentiful Plants elements that could be combined on the card. This is final card project.

While I was online last night, one of my Team Flamingo Demonstrators, Colleen Weddell, stopped by. So, I had my stampers watching the live video, with another one behind me, helping to choose elements. With all of this input, how could we go wrong? I think that we collectively came up with a pretty good Mystery Stamping card project.

The colours on this project came from the Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper. Cinnamon Cider and Evening Evergreen work very well with the DSP and Thick Basic White cardstock. Just Jade & Gold Braided Ribbon and a couple of Wonderful Gems finish it off. One last note… the ribbon frays very easily. When I cut it from the roll, the end was already pretty frayed, and I left it as is and glued it on. It looks fabulous on this card.

No supply list today because it would be incredibly long. If you’d like details, quickly email me. If you need any stamping supplies, I would be very happy to be your demonstrator.
