It’s lovely to see you on Flamingo Friday. This card took shape in my head while I was heading back home from a university tour this morning. I was going to post a photo of big pink birds because I have been SO busy this week I didn’t have time to create anything from scratch. However, the idea popped into my head and while it’s only sort of what I envisioned, I think that my Muted Fabulous Flamingo card turned out quite well.
The reason that this card is a bit muted is that I only stamped 2 layers of the birds. The main image was stamped first in black, and I then masked the top bird before stamping the bottom one. The solid bird shape was inked with Flirty Flamingo ink, and then stamped off before going onto the card. I had every intention of stamping the highlights, but decided that I like the bird just as he is. It’s always good to try new things!
Off into the mail goes this card, because the congratulatory sentiment went on so that I can send it to a member of my downline (Karey!) who just added a team member to her team. Congratulations Karey!
