Good morning stampers! This week I’m share Merry Moose CASE the catty cards! It seems fitting as we created fun moose projects in this week’s class. Today’s cards have been pulled from the Holiday Catalogue, and they’re fun to make.
The timing of Moose Week seems fitting as we moose projects were on the agenda in this week’s class. However… the cards that I’m posting this week aren’t from the class – these projects are reserved for those that attended the workshop. Seems only fair 🙂
Our first card looks difficult, because you’re stamping on vellum, with embossing on the moose. The key is to heat set the ink once it’s on the vellum, as you don’t want to smudge the trees. Adhesive on the vellum can be found behind the sentiment and the moose. The vellum is thick enough that it won’t curl, and this way you don’t see the adhesive. Here’s a side view of Monsieur Moose.
Add a scarf by stamping one in your preferred colour, and fussy cutting it out. He looks lovely when he is dressed for the weather.
Our second card is on page 27 of the catalogue. It is smaller than a full size card, because the base is one of our notecards. Simply cut a piece of cardstock, stamp your moose, and attach it to the front. These moose were stamped in Balmy Blue, but I stamped each one off on a piece of scrap paper before stamping them onto the cardstock.
A bit of ribbon was added for his scarf. The thin Lovely Lipstick 1/8″ Grosgrain ribbon is perfect for this. It’s easy to tie and sits flat on the card. Sparkle Glimmer Paper just peeks out from beneath the sentiment for a bit of shimmer.
The Stampin’ Up! artists did a fabulous job with your creations. Try them yourself, because they are not difficult, and have a great WOW factor to each of them.
