Hi stampers! I have a lovely Merry Christmas to All card, that was CASEd from the Holiday Catalogue. When I first saw the photo, I loved the stamps, paper and layout of the card, and wanted to re-create it. I must say that the card is more stunning in person than in the catalogue. Have a look!
I did change things up slightly, opting not to add the die cut boughs and a larger piece of the All is Bright Designer Series Paper. The gold elements add a nice shine to the card. A piece of gold foil paper has been embossed with the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder, and mounted behind the sentiment. Gold sequins were added for texture, and the swoosh was embossed with gold embossing powder.
(The funny thing about this is that I’m not much of a gold person. I much prefer silver on everything!)
Linen Thread was added under the sentiment, and that is the one thing that I would change on this card. Why? Because mine looks terrible! It’s sticking out too far off the side of the card, and you can see the ends. Whoever receives this card likely won’t even notice, but it has been driving me nuts for awhile now.
Looking for the die that cut the embossed “cheer” from a scrap piece of Real Red cardstock? It’s in the Merry Christmas Thinlits, which are the coordinating dies. You can order both stamps and dies in the Merry Christmas to All Bundle, and save 10%. I’ll be posting more cards as we move into November, and I’m certain that you’ll want to add this bundle to your collection. Have a quick look at all of the pieces below.
You can find the full supply list for this card at the bottom of the post. Click on any photo to go to my online store. Class Update:
Life has been a bit of a roller coaster of late, and anyone who works in retail can tell you that trying to schedule things around a seasonal work schedule is tough. I have days booked off for this weekend’s stamping event, a craft show/ice show in a couple of weeks, and a competition on a December weekend. What this means is that I don’t feel right trying to book off other time during the holiday season, and it has become a difficult balancing act.
So… as it currently stands, the ONLY class that is on the calendar in November is the Boxes, Tags & Boxes classes on November 20th. IF I’m working that day, one of the two classes will be held. If I’m not, both will be on the calendar. I will update things as soon as I know the details!
Thanks for stopping by this morning to check out today’s Merry Christmas to All card. If you have questions about this project or any other items, please send a quick email and I’ll get back to you ASAP.
