I have 3 stamping classes on the calendar this week, and one of the cards that my stampers will be creating is this gorgeous Northern Lights card. We used this technique back in the fall to create a card with a rainbow-style set of Northern Lights, and this week we are highlighting a different way to add the background.
Each stamper’s card will be different – just look at the colours and the placement of the larger stamp from Lovely as a Tree. I was messing around with the technique, and all three of mine are different! I love this, because it demonstrates that there is no right or wrong way to create this card.
Quick Tip: Mask the white space using larger Post-it style notes. I found mine at the local Dollarama. They are easy to place when you are using some of Stampin’ Up!’s fabulous Grid Paper.
The Thank You stamp from Happy Happenings is the perfect size for the corner.
Classes are at 10am and 7pm tomorrow (Tuesday the 21st) and on Thursday at 7pm. Please RSVP as soon as you can to make sure that your spot is saved at the table. Class fee is $20 and all you need is your adhesive.
The inspiration from this card came from a post that I saw on SplitCoastStampers. I’d love to give full credit, but all I can tell you is that it was uploaded by Shoe Girl.
It will take a few days, but I’m trying to get all things stampy back on track. Skating has severely cut into my stamping and blogging time!
Until tomorrow, happy stamping!
