Good morning stampers! Today’s card features the stamps from the Let it Ride and Peaceful Place stamp sets. It was created by Frances Kerr, and received in a recent card swap.
Frances only used two colours on this card – Very Vanilla and Early Espresso. It’s a very effective colour scheme for the card, using two colours that everyone has in their collection of ink & paper.
The background stamp can be found in the Peaceful Place set while the horse and sentiment are in the Let it Ride set. The bottom cardstock piece was embossed, and three rectangles were die cut with the Stitched Rectangles die set. These are a great addition to our line of dies because of their versatility.
No need to pull out your markers to colour the horse as Frances coloured hers with a simple sponge Early Espresso ink. She could add as much or as little ink as she wanted, and it’s a fast way to add colour. Fussy cutting the horse would have taken a fair bit of time. If I’m cutting a bunch of images, I like to sit down in front of the TV and do it from the comfort of my couch.
(Although, tonight I’m not doing any stamping because it’s Game 6 of the NBA finals, and we must cheer for the Raptors!)
Finally, Frances added a bit of the Crumb Cake twine. It’s thicker than linen thread, and a great option for the reins. Here’s a closer look at the detail on the card.

Thanks for stopping by today. If you love horses, this is card for you. Let it Ride was in the Occasions catalogue, and many are happy that it carried over because it is very popular. If you have stamping or cardmaking questions, e-mail me! On that note, I have laundry to fold, a kitchen to tidy, and then I’m continuing with website updates. IF it stops raining, I’ll take the dog out for a quick walk. She’ll come with a very wet tail, but it’s a small price to pay. Happy Stamping!
