Kite Delight Card for a Carefree Day

Happy Monday! Today’s project is a fun Kite Delight card, and I love the carefree day sentiment on the front. Perfect for a birthday, or a day spent with friends. Let’s have a look!

Kite Delight is an easy to use stamp set in the Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue. You can stamp the kites and then colour them with markers or Stampin’ Blends, or just leave them alone. On this card, I stamped the background kites with Crumb Cake ink, and then a single kite for cutting and colouring.

Stampin’ Up! doesn’t have dies for this set – because they’re not needed! It’s very easy to fussy cut the kites and the other images in the set. I pulled out my Night of Navy, Petal Pink, Balmy Blue & Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends to colour this kite, but you can use fewer colours.

Don’t you love this ‘wishes for a carefree day’ sentiment? Such a fun phrase for this kite card. I braided three pieces of the navy twine from the Fan Baker’s Twine pack for the kite tail, letting it hang loose behind the popped up phrase. Since we all love bling, a few rhinestones provides a bit on this card.
