Good morning! The sun is shining, and it’s a day for a Happy Thoughts friend, a friend, and the belief that things are beginning to look up. Today’s card is one that I will pop in the mail later this week, to a friend that dearly deserves it.
At a Demonstrator Christmas Party last week, we all received a package of pieces to create a card – without instructions. The only real instruction was to create a card using the items in the pack before the party, so that the project could be shared during the Zoom party. This is my card.
The Happy Thoughts stamp set had been sitting on my desk, so I pulled out one of the larger phrases. So often we relegate these to the inside of our cards, but I love the meaning of this one and wanted it front and centre.
The piece of True Love Designer Series Paper was in our package, and we could choose the side that we wanted to use. The backside of this one is floral, and not really my cup of tea. Using one of the two Greenery Embossing Folders, I added a bit of texture to the black cardstock and glued it down to the Pool Party base.
A Square Vellum Doily was also included in the pack. Deciding what to use this for was difficult, so I just kept moving it around until I found a spot that worked. Some of my fellow demonstrators cut theirs up, which is another option. It allows you to save a piece for a future project. I adore the Pool Party Sheer Ribbon; it has a wonderful sheen to it.
The last pieces that I added came from my own stash. The Frosted and Clear Epoxy Droplets have two different finishes on them, and I chose the frosted droplets because they go well with the vellum. If you remember, I did the same on Monday’s project as well.
