Good morning stampers! Today’s Happy Birthday card features a bunch of rainbow die cuts that have been haphazardly stacked together to create a high impact sentiment.
I was looking through my dies and stamps yesterday, because I have been concentrating on certain *top secret* products of late, and need to get back to some of my old favourites.
The Happy Birthday Thinlits (which is really only one thinlit) is large enough that it acts as a focal point on any project. I did stamp a “to you” at the bottom, because I actually thought it was too plain and needed something. Seriously. All those colours and in my mind it was too plain.
You can find the words in the Merry Christmas to All stamp set. It doesn’t appear in any catalogue at the moment because it is on the Holiday Catalogue Carryover List. The stamp is the right size for this card, and the font is a contrast to the whimsical die cut sentiment.
There are seven different colours in the rainbow: Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Pacific Point, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, and Thick Whisper White. The base of the card is Thick Whisper White as it needs to be able to support the weight of the die cuts. Once they were cut, I glued them together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. They were randomly set into place – no lining them up. Here’s a close-up of the layer.
