Hello stampers! It’s Card Swap Thursday, and today I have a Good Morning Magnolia Embossed card to share with you. It’s simple to stamp, but elegant because of the gold embellishments.
Diana Langman created this card, and used two elements of the Magnolia Lane Suite on her card – the stamps and Designer Series Paper.
Recreating this card is easy, because with the exception of the sentiment, you are just cutting layers of paper. Even the magnolia has been fussy cut, so you don’t need the coordinating dies for this project.
One of the basic tools that I recommend for all stampers is our Heat Tool, because you need it for any heat embossing that you want to add to a card. Embossing with an embossing powder gives you the raised metallic effect. Recipients will go “wow” when they see it! Diana added 3 metallic pearls as well.
*Tip* When using metallics on a card, use two different types to balance them off. On this card, metallic embossing powder and pearls were used.
Once the embossing was completed, Diana die cut the oval with her die cutting machine and one of the stitched ovals in the Stitched Shapes set. This is another must-have for everyone that has a die cutting machine because it gives you a detailed die cut to add to a project.
