Have you tried our glossy paper yet? We had this in the catalogue many years ago, and its use fell out of favour with stampers, so we discontinued it. It’s now back in the catalogue, and I love it because we can play with resist techniques again. These Glossy Paper Dragonflies are really easy to stamp, ink, and finish, and the card is one that my stampers created this week at my Glossy Paper class.
What makes this paper so much fun to play with is that ink doesn’t dry quite as quickly on glossy paper as it does on regular card stock, so you have a bit more “play” time before the ink sets. In this case, the dragonflies were stamped on the paper with Versamark ink, and then the pinks and purples were sponged on top. It’s easier to get the colours to meld, so you don’t end up with lines between colours. The one thing that I didn’t do on this card, that I will definitely do going forward, is dry the Versamark with my heat tool before moving on to the sponging. It just guarantees that you’re not smearing the ink, ending up with less than crisp images.
