Frightfully Cute Oreo “Boo” Treats with Video Tutorial

Happy Friday! Do you love Oreos? Today’s super quick project is a Frightfully Cute Oreo “Boo” Treat that I made during last night’s Facebook Live stream. There are two videos of this project, because Facebook decided that it didn’t want to stream horizontally. Did I know this? No. My camera was showing the horizontal feed, so I had no idea until after it was over and the video was uploaded. Rather than fret about it, I cut more paper, and recorded another video. It’s a good thing I didn’t eat all of the cookies!

These little cuties are super easy to make. Thanks to Lori Heiling, who created the original pouch (similar to the one on the left) in her YouTube video. I won’t get into the nitty gritty details about the ones in this post, because you can see exactly how they’re put together in the video. You do want the measurements of the paper and plastic pouch though, and here they are:

  • Cookie Pouch (bottom of clear envelope): 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″
  • Pumpkin Pie: 4-1/2″ x 2-1/2″; scored at 1-1/4″
  • Frightfully Cute Designer Series Paper: 4-3/8″ x 1-3/8″

Once you have the pieces cut and assembled, decorate them however you’d like. I used the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper, along with the Frightfully Cute stamp set and Frightful Tags dies. You can buy these as a bundle (save 10%), and make quick and easy tags for your Halloween treats.

To quickly learn how to make these fun Frightfully Cute Oreo treats, watch the video below. I still have a bunch of Oreos, and may whip up a few of these for neighbours or coworkers. After Saturday’s Merry & Bright event, and my SplitCoastStampers tutorial is complete.

Thanks for stopping by today. These Frightfully Cute Oreo Treats are fun to make, and easy to give. Just make sure that you don’t eat all of the Oreos! I’ll be back on Monday with something completely different from these treats. Although, if you find the Oreos with the orange centres, let me know! If you have questions before, please add a comment or drop me a quick e-mail and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Happy Stamping!
