You can’t possibly be sick of flamingos yet. Are you? Didn’t think so. Today is the last of the original Pop of Paradise cards that I created when I first received my stamp set in May. The layout is based on a sketch that I saw somewhere (I really need to keep track of these things), and features the Hello You Thinlits along with some Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper.
I really adore cards where the main elements are in the corner, but I rarely create them like this, instead being hung up on the centre of the card, in the upper two thirds. I may try and hunt down some more sketches/photos that lay out this type of design.
One more thing that I love about this card? The bird has a black beak and black legs. As it should be. Flamingos are not a solid pink! I have educated my stampers about this fact, and they are on board that these two elements need to be coloured with a Stampin’ Write marker before stamping the image onto paper. I have awesome stampers!
