Flamingo Friday: Michelle’s Flamingo Tag

Hello stampers (and stitchers!).  I have always loved paper, but I have also loved cross stitch for a very long time.  I gave it up for years after I discovered Stampin’ Up!, but have recently gone back to it and have introduced the craft to my daughter.  There are a number of companies out there that are selling the dies to cut your own perforated paper, and some come with the dies for the paper to be mounted to.  I couldn’t resist buying three of them from My Favourite Things, and Michelle has put them to good use.  So today I’m giving you Michelle’s Flamingo Tag (and a few others!)

Before I show you the flamingo, I’m sharing photos of a few other creations.  She was most distressed by one of her Pac Man bookmarks.  See if you can figure out why!

Did you see the cross-eyed ghost?  Michelle desperately wanted to pull the stitches, but we told her to leave them because he looks so darn cute!  All of her creations are for sale, because she wants to list these on the Colourful Market website, add them to our fall craft fairs, and earn a bit of money.  She may be 12, but she’s got wishes and dreams.  Last but not least, here is her flamingo tag.

These will be in the Colourful Market store next week.  Aside from the thread, dies and a bit of ribbon all supplies are from Stampin’ Up!  The thick Whisper White cardstock works well as a base for the stitching.  I can’t put a true count on the holes of the paper, but it’s around 8ct, perfect for a beginning stitcher, or a super quick stitch.  If you’re interested in pre-cut pieces, send me an e-mail and we can chat.

Happy stamping and stitching this long weekend!  I’ll be doing both while trying to stay cool.  It’s going to be a hot one!  As always, e-mail if you have questions, and please add a comment below if you like Michelle’s Flamingo Tag or other projects!
