Fabulous Flamingo in Silhouette: Flamingo Fridays

Did you know that I like flamingos? I mean LIKE flamingos?  No, I didn’t think so (insert sarcasm here).  I was really excited to see this Fabulous Flamingo in Silhouette card, created by fellow demonstrator Moira Sands.  A few of these cards have popped up on Pinterest, but I haven’t had the time yet to create one.

Looking at it, the card is actually quite easy to make.  Most of the colour has been sponged on, with the moon masked before the ink has been added.  I don’t know which ink Moira sponged on first, but I would be inclined to start at the top and move done.  She did pull the moon mask off of the card, and added one last swipe of both Dapper Denim and Pumpkin pie.  I like the effect of this because it dulls the moon slightly.

Sponging the Basic Black Archival ink last, helps to cover the line between the black and orange.  The final step is stamping the images.  Love it!
