Happy Fabulous Flamingo Friday! I have news to share, about something fun that is coming to market on November 1st. Stampin’ Up! is releasing an updated line of alcohol markers, called Stampin’ Blends! I could hardly wait to try these out because I have been playing with my Chameleon markers, which colour in a different way. I didn’t have time to play until last night, so this is my first effort colouring with them, but I like the result. My colouring will only improve with time and practice.
They blend really well, and you can see the light vs dark on this image. Next time I will give the feathers more definition. I used the light and dark Calypso Coral markers, adding a bit of the light Pink Pirouette on his beak. I would like to see more of the light on his back, and will start with the Pink Pirouette there, getting darker as the feathers get thicker.
So many possibilities with the Blends and this flamingo, simply because of the different species of birds! Don’t worry though… I won’t go overboard. I might colour say… a flower! Or, maybe a pig. Those piggies from the This Little Piggy stamp set will be SO cute when coloured with the Blends.
Now, before I tell you what’s on this relatively simply Fabulous Flamingo Friday card, I have to show you something crazy. One of my clients brought flamingo gummies to class this week! I resisted opening them until today (because it’s Flamingo Friday after all), but are they ever tasty!
