Good morning stampers! Today’s pretty card has a flamingo on it, because it’s Flamingo Friday! Today’s Fabulous Flamingo card on a great Granny Apple Green background to it, setting off the pinks perfectly. It’s such a vibrant card – perfect for any flamingo friend. Trust me on this. The ladies at last month’s Flamingo Class loved it!
The card was CASEd from one originally created by Tina Gillespie. I like looking at other people’s creations, because different stampers will use different colour combinations. Whisper White backgrounds are very popular, but this green really makes the bird pop.
I have mentioned the Tropical Chic bundle before, and it really does coordinate well with the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set. The large die cut background was made with the square leaf die from the Tropical Thinlits, and both the dies and stamps were used to create the hibiscus flower in the bottom right.
Powder Pink, Flirty Flamingo and Early Espresso are the colours used on the bird itself. Although Blushing Bride is the pink in the flower and Tropical Escape DSP (a strip is on the bottom under the flower), it dulls the colour of the bird. I prefer a brighter flamingo! You can find all of the supplies to create this card on the supply list below. Click any item to shop in my Online Store.

Thanks for stopping by this morning! Next Friday’s flamingo post will have a card, but if you go to Facebook and/or Instagram, you’ll see the real deal courtesy of the flamingo habitat in Las Vegas!!! One of the ladies last night suggested that I should record them live. I could do that, but don’t want the other gamblers to think I’ve fallen off my rocker. We shall see… As always, please e-mail if you have any questions at all.
