Welcome back! Today’s card features an easy colouring technique used with Mediterranean Moments stamps and Stampin’ Up! Watercolour Pencils.
It is Card Swap Thursday, and I received this card from fellow demonstrator Vickie Howie in a recent swap. It was part of the Very Vanilla/Crumb Cake/Bermuda Bay/Basic Black colour swap, and I was extremely impressed with the cards that I received.
Vicki’s card uses one of the stamps from Mediterranean Moments. I’m pleased to post this because this is a set that doesn’t really fit my stamping style. I have thought about adding it to my collection, because I have seen so many gorgeous samples. Vicki used watercolour pencils for the table and sign, and a Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend for the window frame and lantern. Scroll down for a close-up of the image.
*Tip* Add a quick hit of colour to your image by colouring with a small section with a Watercolour Pencil. No need to blend it out with water, or colour every single piece of the image. Just colour like you’re colouring a picture in an adult colouring book!
Different elements help to balance out the overall look of the card. The circles were die cut with the Layering Circle dies, the Bermuda Bay background was embossed with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, and a bit of the pretty 1/2″ Lace Trim helps to pull your eye down to the corner.
You can find the full supply list for this project at the bottom of this post.
