Easy Artistically Inked Thank You Card

Happy Wednesday! Today’s project is an Artistically Inked Thank You card, that is quite easy to make. This card recently arrived in my mailbox, from fellow Demonstrator Julie MacIsaac. It’s a pretty card, so let’s take a closer look.

Isn’t it lovely? Julie combined the simplicity of a two-toned look, with the intricate detail of the large die cut from the coordinating Artistic Dies. The colours were pulled directly from the Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper, and pair very well with Very Vanilla cardstock. The Colour Chip is below, and has been added to the Colour Chip Resource Page. Don’t forget that you can always check there for any Chip that has been used on a project, as well as a link to that project for an example.

Julie chose to emboss the Very Vanilla background behind the die cut with the Brick and Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. It works incredibly well on this card. The flowers have been cut directly from the Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper, giving it a mottled look. Easy effect, without messing around with different colours of ink.

Finally, the ‘thanks’ stamp is in the Artistically Inked stamp set. Julie used Evening Evergreen ink to stamp it, and die the word with one of dies found in the Tasteful Labels die set. This set is easily one of the most versatile in the current Annual Catalogue, and should be in your collection because it fits many different sentiments and phrases.

I did promise that I’d be back today with another Halloween project that is super easy to make, and I clearly forgot that when I started writing this blog post. I promise that you’ll see it tomorrow, and that Friday’s post will have the details of the project from tomorrow night’s Facebook Live (which is Halloween themed!) I’m off to get pumpkins today, because I haven’t picked mine up yet. If you have questions, please add a comment or drop me a quick e-mail and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Happy Stamping!
