A Delightfully Detailed Card Swap Thursday

I’m back with another edition of Card Swap Thursday, and this time I’m posting one of my own swap cards. This Delightfully Detailed card and all of its friends has been sent to the other side of the city to be swapped out this weekend. I can hardly wait to see what is sent back to me!

Cards in this swap had to use the colour scheme of Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Basic Black. I wasn’t sure where to go with this, but then I remembered that I still have some of the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.

Once I chopped up a piece of the laser-cut paper, I glued it down with the help of a frame created with our new Stitched Rectangle Framelits. The 1/8″ Black Cord helps with coordination, otherwise the frame would have looked a bit off.

I carried the stitched framelit theme to the ovals as well, and used the Very Vanilla side of the laser cut paper (the back side is white) to coordinate with the stitched sentiment. Crumb Cake cardstock is the “frame” for the sentiment as well as the card base.

*Tip* Try to use 2 items on a project with a similar colour or “theme”. They tie elements together and bring balance to your project.

You can order any of the products used on this card through my Online Store. Shop 24/7, and don’t forget to add the January Host Code (N2UNSWS2) to receive a Project Helper Tutorial at the end of the month as part of my Online Rewards Program. If your order is over $200, choose the Stampin’ Rewards instead, and I’ll still send the Tutorial!

Thanks for stopping by on this late afternoon! (I warned you it would be later in the day.) I’m off to the rink in a bit, but will be back tomorrow morning. I still need to digest today’s neurologist appointment, and the news that I will not be able to drive my poor neglected SUV until at least November 11th. Always remember that driving is a privilege, not a right. Or so they tell us in Driver’s Ed 🙂
