Hello stampers! Today is Stampin’ Blends day, and I’m sharing one of the cards that we are stamping in today’s classes. This pretty Country Home card, coloured with our Stampin’ Blends, was CASEd from a card originally created by Bree Renwick. I have stamped a few different cards with this suite, but really like her version and decided to add it to this month’s class.
All of the products in this suite coordinate very well together and can be used on many different projects. Perhaps you remember the shadowbox that we created together in early September. If not, you can find it here. The box has many elements of the suite in it, showing off its versatility, while this card features different products from the suite.
Bree opted to stamp the can from Country Home onto a piece of cardstock, and then die cut the circle with one of the Stitched Shapes Framelits. The flowers were stamped on a separate piece of cardstock, and fussy cut. Yes – fussy cut!! We don’t have a thinlit for the flowers, so you’re on your own with a pair of Paper Snips. Truthfully, it looks worse than it is. These flowers aren’t that difficult to manoeuvre with your scissors.
One of my favourite items in the suite is the Tin Tile embossing folder. The embossed areas are deep, and you can use it on cardstock as well as the gorgeous Galvanized Metallic Paper. I also continue to reach for the Braided Linen Trim, because I really like pulling the ends apart to fray them a bit. It adds an extra bit of texture to the overall look.
I cannot say enough about our Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. Only four colours were used on this card, yet everyone in the class this morning ended up with a different look. There is no right or wrong way to colour your images, meaning that all finished cards will look a bit different. This is okay! I always tell people not to worry if their card doesn’t look exactly the same as mine, because they have put their individual stamp on it.
The full supply list for this project can be found below. Add the September Host Code (CZ2SQAX4) to your Online Order, and I’ll send you 15 Project Helper Guides at the end of the month. If your order is $200+, choose the Stampin’ Rewards and you’ll still receive the guides.
