Good morning stampers! It’s another gloomy November day, so let’s brighten it up with a Christmas Gleaming Fun Fold card. With a lot of copper elements, this card really shines.
Today’s card was created by Kimberly Stathakos, a fellow demonstrator. Re-creating it is easy, because all of the elements can be found in the Brightly Gleaming Suite on pages 30-32 in the Holiday Catalogue.
Kim’s card opens from the bottom, and you can see that the cardstock is placed in an unusual fashion on the card. There is a centre panel with has the ornaments and sentiment. It has been glued to the card base, but there is an opening! Here’s what it looks like when open.
Isn’t that fun? The card looks like there are three horizontal panels on the front, but really there are only two. You save a titch of cardstock, but the real impact comes when the recipient opens the card.
The stamps for both ornaments and the words are in the Christmas Gleaming stamp set. Kim has embossed the ornament and sentiment with copper embossing powder. The DSP also has copper in it, which makes it easy to combine metallics.
*Note* When using metallic elements on a project, it is wise to choose 2+ elements so that nothing feels “lost” on a card.
