Card Swap Thursday: Wood Words by Lisa

Welcome back to Card Swap Thursday, where I post a card created by another demonstrator.  I love card swaps because you always get some fabulous ideas of different ways to use stamp sets.  This Wood Words card, created by Lisa Althouse, uses three of the images from the stamp set, but in a way that has more elegance.

Wendy's Little Inklings: Wood Words Friendship Card

Powder Pink is one of the 2017-2019 In Colors, and when we first saw the sample, we demonstrators collectively thought that it was too close to Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette to have much of an effect on our colour families.  However, when you see it on this card, it’s obvious that it is a distinct colour.  Lisa has paired it with Chocolate Chip and a piece of woodgrain to create a fantastic combination for this card.

My photo is a tad washed out;  I  took the lights off of the table when I had my Open House, and after reinstalling them, it was really difficult to get the placement right so that the cards don’t look completely different.  The pink in person is a little bit deeper, and a very lovely colour.  I *think* that I have everything properly set up again, but the table is moved constantly so one never knows.  Sigh.
