Happy Monday stampers! I was playing with my new Bokeh Dots set yesterday, and was truly impressed with the stamped images. Like “WOW” impressed with them. Bokeh Dots is one of Stampin’ Up!’s new DistINKtive stamp sets, and it’s fascinating to see the image come alive. I created 2 cards yesterday that are very similar, and both use the bokeh background behind the focal image.
These backgrounds were stamped using So Saffron ink. I think it provides a nice, light background for the floral image from Love What You Do. The blooms were double-stamped with Berry Burst and I have added just a bit of ribbon to finish off the card. It’s pretty basic, but I have hit the point where I really like clean and simple cards.
A friend experienced a tragic loss of an aunt yesterday, and this card was created especially for her. It is the same layout, but the Itty Bitty Greetings sentiment is at the bottom, with pearls added for emphasis. The blooms have been changed to Highland Heather, for a more subdued look.
I stamped a few other pieces of Whisper White cardstock using the fireworks stamp from this set, and the results are impressive. You have stamp them and leave them for a few moments to see the detail really come out, but you won’t be disappointed. Watch for these once I have made them into full cards.
