Stampin’ Up! Bloom & Grow CASE the Catalogue Monday

Hi all! Today I’m showing off the Bloom & Grow stamp set in my weekly CASE the Catalogue post. Since we’re only 2 weeks away from the release of the new Annual Catalogue, I’m taking the time to spotlight retiring stamp sets. Oh, and I know that it’s Tuesday. I just had a very unexpected Monday, and didn’t have a decent chance to blog yesterday.

The original card is on page 116 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. It’s a super bright card because it’s Daffodil Delight cardstock, which does match the daffodils blooming around my house. The same daffodils that are about to be hammered by wet snow tonight and tomorrow. On April 21st!!! One of my tasks today is to try and figure out how to save them. It may require cutting the blooms and bringing them into the house. We shall see.

When I was creating the cards for this week, I realized that all have stepped up backgrounds to them. The Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder was used on this card. It is carrying over, so we’ll all have plenty of opportunities to continue to use it. Which is good because I only just added it to my collection.

The flowers on the card were coloured with our watercolour pencils, and Stampin’ Blends were used to add accents to them. This is a technique that I hadn’t tried before, so I have a colouring *tip* for you. Make sure that you thoroughly check your images to make sure that you’re pleased with the pencil colouring before you move on to the next step. Under the lights of my stamp room, I thought that I had a decent colouring job. Now that I see the photographs, I’m not so happy with it because the yellow could be more solid.

A bit of Bumblebee ribbon (which is retiring) was added, along with some Cajun Craze cardstock that was die cut with the cute scallop die. Five flowers were also die cut and glued on with Basic Pearls in their centres.

List of Retiring Items:

  • Bloom & Grow stamp set
  • Budding Blooms dies
  • Bumblebee 2020-2022 In Color 1/4″ Ribbon

  • Option 1 is 6×6 pieces of all of the new 12×12 Designer Series Paper in the catalogue.
  • Option 2 is 6×6 pieces of all of the new DSP in the colour families.

Click HERE for all details on the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue Paper shares, including the link to register for them. You MUST register by April 30th for your spot in the share. It will close after that date.

Thanks for stopping by today! I’m going to enjoy spotlighting the Bloom & Grow stamp set this week, and I’m glad that you joined me for CASE the Catalogue Monday, even if it is Tuesday. As always, please e-mail if you have any questions. Happy Stamping!
