Butterflies are once again flitting around outside, now that the chilly air seems to have given way to warmer weather. I love the Bitty Butterfly and Elegant Butterfly punches as they layer very well, allowing us to create some wonderful texture on a card.
This card is extremely fast and easy to create because most of the colour comes from the Cherry on Top Washi Tape that is still in the catalogue, but only for another week. With five different tapes in the collection, you just rip it and stick it! The colours for the circle and butterflies are Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, and Cucumber Crush, and they came straight from the circles and stripes on the washi tape. Polka dot stamps from the Endless Birthday Wishes and Honeycomb Hello stamp sets helped connect the butterflies with the tape, and a bit of rhinestone bling is there to finish it off.
What stamp set is the sentiment from? One that retired earlier, called Four You. I’m still low on current stamp sets (which will NOT improve next week when a bunch of mine retire), so I dug back in the archive to pull this one out. Besides, the size fits the card.
It’s been a tough 5-1/2 weeks since my mother-in-law’s nasty card accident, but I think that I’m finally getting back on track. Watch for more posts!
